Spanning over 450m², the Nicecactus Esports Studio is the ideal venue for major esports competitions and corporate events.
Nicecactus.gg is proud to announce the opening of its brand-new Studio, specially designed to provide gamers, esports fans and businesses with high-quality content production and promotion. It is an unprecedented venue for the online platforms dedicated to the coaching and development of esports athletes.
This new facility fits perfectly into Nicecactus’ development strategy, which aims to offer its B2B clients a wide range of services, from turnkey tournaments to audiovisual content production. Ideally located on Barcelona’s seafront, it boasts 450m² fully dedicated to audiovisual production, a 300m² arena capable of accommodating 60 to 80 people, as well as 160m² of multi-purpose space (training, analysis, press). It also features a bar, a press corner and a photocall area.
The venue is a timely response to the growing global esports industry, which generates an estimated $1.1 billion in revenues and is expected to attract as many as 495 million viewers in 2020*. All the more so as the esports sector is increasingly geared towards the general public – especially in terms of media coverage.
The Studio is also expected to play a key role in the Nicecactus Grassroots Esports Fund, which aims to allocate €1 million to amateur and semi-professional athletes, to help boost their professional development. Training programs, combined with online competitions and a results monitoring system through the platform nicecactus.gg, will enable the Fund to identify the most talented athletes, and will give them the opportunity to train under professional competition conditions. The Fund has already selected the first team to benefit from a bootcamp at the professional training facility.
“The Nicecactus Studio is a logical step forward in our development. Playing a final tournament stage in an arena, in conditions similar to those encountered by proplayers in major tournaments, represents the ultimate goal for our target. Facing their opponent in a show environment, with a team of casters and in front of an audience, is a significant milestone in a player’s growth. The chill zone and practice zone are strong assets in this endeavor. The site is also ideally suited for bootcamps, as Barcelona is a lively city thriving with people and activities. The Spanish lifestyle allows you to combine intensive training and the appropriate recovery, to achieve outstanding results. In short, this facility encompasses everything players need to improve their skills and perform their best.” explains Jordan Savelli, Esports Director at Nicecactus.
Fully staffed with a production team dedicated to the day-to-day running of the Studio, the venue is set up to host from 1v1 up to 5v5 tournament formats. It is equipped with 4K high definition cameras for streaming on TV or web platforms, cranes, 3X4m light bridges, as well as a sound system and an audio visual control room for live events. All these features are designed to deliver state-of-the-art solutions to Nicecactus’ corporate clients and partners.
